When a window is past repairing, we replace it. Timber windows made to measure for older homes, aluminium windows when you want less upkeep, and corner windows rebuilt to suit the house. The old one comes out, the new one goes in flashed and sealed, and the trims, cladding and paint are made good around it.

The order matters: a window that is measured, flashed and finished properly lasts as long as the house.
Every window is measured in its opening: width, height, the brick or frame depth and the reveal. The new window is ordered to those sizes, so it fits without packing it out.
We cut the old window free without damaging the brickwork, cladding or the trims we plan to keep, and cover the opening if the new window isn’t going straight in.
Set level and square, fixed into the frame, flashed at the head and sides and sealed to the wall. Then the reveal, the architraves and the outside trims go back on.
Weatherboards, cement sheet or plaster around the window repaired where needed, and new timber primed and painted to match.

Rot in a sill or a corner can be cut out. Rot through the whole bottom of a frame usually can’t, and a new window is the better job.
Frames that have moved, warped or been patched too often leak and rattle however they are adjusted.
A different style, obscure glass for a bathroom, double glazing, or aluminium in place of timber that needs painting every few years.
We match the frame, the glass layout and the reveal to the windows beside it as closely as we can, including double-hung sash windows made to the old profile.
