The park added new slides for the 2025/26 season, and parks like this need maintenance between seasons.
Wallington Primary School finished a two-classroom upgrade in June 2025. The Homestead Estate aged-care home is in Wallington, Oakdene has its cellar door on Grubb Road, and the fire station and local command facility are here too. Almost every address is bushfire prone, so we check the bushfire construction level for anything new.

A hotel opened at Wallington in 1855, two years after Fairfax Fenwick subdivided the land, and a later hotel became known for strawberries and cream for travellers heading to Queenscliff. The Wallington Strawberry Festival carries on that tradition.
Today the theme park, the school, aged care and a winery cellar door are the area’s main commercial buildings, all on rural land.
