We have done 59 jobs in Corio, 38 of them commercial. That includes doors, grab rails, shelving trims and a counter drawer in retail tenancies, access hardware and ceilings at water authority sites, and ceiling-hoist tracks for a care facility.
Corio holds a sub-regional shopping centre, bulky-goods strips on the highway, more than 500 hectares of industrial land, a refinery and the 157-hectare Geelong Grammar campus.
For facility managers we have done 13 jobs in Corio retail tenancies: jamming doors, strikers and an office latch, a grab rail re-fixed properly, a defibrillator mounted on a concrete wall, shelving trims, a soap dispenser, a cash drawer put back on its runners and a shop-front door jamb. Bulky-goods stores line Bacchus Marsh Road and the Princes Highway too.
Across 12 jobs at a water authority’s sites we have changed door hardware to give free exit one side and card access the other, fitted mortice locks to accessible toilets, repaired suspended ceilings, braced shelving to walls and ceilings and treated moss-covered roofs. For a building-projects firm we braced ceiling-hoist tracks into concrete at a care facility.
Wilmac finished 12 warehouses on O’Briens Road in late 2025, and Bisinella has approval for 12 more on Heales Road. Corio Village sold to Charter Hall for $146 million in 2025. Northern Bay College is rebuilding its Hendy Street learning centre after a 2024 fire, with completion forecast for 2027. In the Ring Road precinct, a street fence needs a permit only if it is solid or over 1.5 metres high.

The Shell oil refinery opened in 1956, the largest development Corio had seen. Nearby, the Corio whisky distillery ran from 1928 to 1980.
Within about 20 years the Housing Commission built five estates with 2,500 houses at Corio, and the Corio Village shopping centre opened in 1973.
