We replace doors and frames and can maintain the schools, park buildings and small shops of East Geelong, east of the CBD. A third of the suburb is parkland, and much of it is heritage-listed.
East Geelong’s non-residential buildings include schools, parkland buildings, a conference centre and two small groups of shops.
Geelong East Primary School on Boundary Road opened in 1857, and its Block A was rebuilt in recent years. Geelong High School on Ryrie Street has been funded for a toilet and bathroom refurbishment. School buildings need doors, joinery and repairs done around classes and in the holidays.
Eastern Park covers about 81 hectares and is on the Victorian Heritage Register. Council’s strategic plan for the park and botanic gardens, updated in July 2026, names the horticultural complex, the Walter Conservatory, the Superintendent’s Residence and the Mineral Springs Bath House. Heritage buildings like these need repairs that respect the original fabric.
Small shopping pockets on Garden Street and Ormond Road make up about 1.5 hectares of commercial land, and a special zone covers the conference centre in Eastern Park. Our commercial work in East Geelong has included replacing a door and fitting a new treated-pine frame fixed to concrete, and installing wall panelling.

Beyond our expectations, and it was great to work with people who could turn our ideas into something better than we imagined. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
Michael worked with our budget and we were so impressed by their diligence and workmanship. They did not cut corners but went the extra mile. So impressed we engaged them again at another property.
Prompt, great communication and a terrific job. Have used JF Maintenance for lots of work over the years and would recommend.
Limeburners Point supplied building lime from as early as 1838, and its kilns are heritage-listed. Eastern Park, home of the Geelong Botanic Gardens, takes up about a third of the suburb, and the old rifle range became a CSIRO animal health laboratory.
The suburb grew from about 1916, and the state built a Housing Commission estate here after the war.
