Newcomb Central has Woolworths, Aldi and 23 specialty shops on about 2.5 hectares, and Bellarine Village a Woolworths, a Dan Murphy’s and 14 more shops. Our Newcomb work includes moving car park wheel stops at the community health centre, laying carpet tiles in interview rooms and an admin area, removing and replacing a double-glazed window ahead of painting, and replacing a ceiling lining with external-grade sheet. The suburb also has a library, a dialysis unit, kindergartens and a seniors club, all buildings that need work done without disturbing the people using them.
Newcomb Secondary College opened new music, technology and STEM spaces in 2022, and the primary school has had two rounds of works. Along the highway, a 9.8 hectare commercial strip of larger showrooms and warehouses includes one 2,080 square metre building sold in March 2025.

Newcomb grew in the 1960s as heavy industry came to nearby Point Henry, and its shops grew with it. The old Cheetham saltworks, with the A.H. Cunningham Memorial Hall, is on the Victorian Heritage Register. Today the Bellarine Highway carries two supermarket centres and a strip of larger showrooms.
